4K IPTV looks incredible when every link in the chain supports it: the source, the player, the device, the HDMI cable and the TV. Here is how San Antonio viewers can get the most from Ultra HD streams.
The 4K chain
You need a 4K-capable device such as a Firestick 4K, Apple TV 4K, Nvidia Shield or a modern Smart TV. The HDMI cable and TV input must also support 4K and HDCP.
Not every channel is native 4K. WorthyStream offers 4K on selected live events and a growing VOD library, with high-quality 1080p on the rest.
Bandwidth and stability
Plan for at least 25 Mbps for a single 4K stream, and more if other people are using the network. Ethernet is always better than Wi-Fi for 4K sports.
If your connection fluctuates, the player will downshift to a lower resolution. A stable 1080p feed is better than a 4K stream that keeps buffering.
Picture settings that matter
Turn off unnecessary motion smoothing for sports, enable the correct picture mode and calibrate brightness for your room. The best stream cannot fix a badly configured TV.
Use the native app on your TV or a dedicated streaming device. Casting from a phone can reduce quality and add latency.
