MAG boxes are dedicated IPTV devices with a set-top-box feel. They are popular with viewers who want a simple remote and a traditional portal interface. Here is how to set one up in San Antonio.
What a MAG box needs
A MAG box uses a portal URL rather than an app store. You will need the portal address, your MAC address and a subscription that supports MAG provisioning.
WorthyStream can provision MAG boxes on request. Send support your MAC address and we will configure the portal on our side.
Portal setup steps
Open the settings menu, go to portals, enter the portal URL and save. Reboot the box and wait for the channel list to download.
If the portal does not load, check the MAC address format and your internet connection. A factory reset is rarely necessary.
MAG box tips
Use Ethernet for the most stable playback. Keep the firmware updated and avoid unplugging the box during a portal update.
MAG interfaces are slower than modern Android players. If speed matters more than the traditional guide, a Firestick or Android TV box may be a better fit.
